Nestled comfortably amongst a hairdresser, florist and tattoo studio on the Main Street of Old Reynella is this absolute gem of a local café. And we use the term ‘café’ loosely… from buffalo wings and schnitty nights to succulent seafood packs and fresh salads… from house made granola to personalised catering – Esculent offers the whole enchilada, so to speak.
‘But first, coffee’ – and it’s good. Delicious Dimattina coffee and MilkLab dairy options including almond, soy and lactose-free cater for every dietary need. They even cater for the needs of our environment. Having recently signed up as a Responsible Café, you can earn a 50cent discount on your daily caffeine fix if you bring your own reusable cup. Don’t have one yet? No problem – they’ve just stocked up on the gorgeous Frank Green smart cups available for purchase instore. You’ll never look back, and think of all those extra coffees (or brownies) you can buy with the savings…!
Something for everyone
A Nutella shake or acai smoothie will be sure to get your creative juices flowing in order to take some imaginative snaps of Esculent’s famous American style dogs or burgers. Simply post your chef-d’oeuvre on Instagram using #esculentatoldreynella to be in the running for a $30 food voucher given away each month.
If your four-legged friend is drooling at the window, they might have sniffed out the Veggie Paws on the counter (or that steak sandwich in your hand). Locally made from human grade, plant based ingredients, these nutritious treats have a much smaller impact on the environment than their animal product counterparts.
All too conveniently located just a couple of hundred metres from our Old Reynella office, it’s not uncommon for our lunch breaks to be spent trying in vain to decide between a scotch fillet, chicken Caesar or smoked salmon wrap (first world problems).
With constantly changing specials, a display cabinet full of tempting treats and an array of local, family owned products for sale (enter Ashton Valley Crush juices), there is always something to gratify your tastebuds at Esculent.
